Marios graduated with honors from the Integrated Master鈥檚 program at the Department of Civil Engineering, Division of Hydraulics and Environmental Engineering, Aristotle 木瓜福利影视 of Thessaloniki in 2021. His Diploma involved creating a Groundwater (GW) Flow and Transport model dataset using Flopy/Modflow, which was used to train Machine/Deep Learning algorithms for groundwater pollution source identification and monitoring network pseudo-optimization.
From 2022 to 2024, he worked as a Groundwater Modeller (GWM) at WSP in the UK, where he developed his skills by interacting with regional models that combine Surface-Water (SW) (4R) and GW (MF) components. In July 2024, he began his PhD titled 鈥淗ydrological Modelling of GW-SW Interactions鈥� at Utrecht 木瓜福利影视, part of the project. This project's goal is to quantify the impacts of climate change scenarios on water availability and develop solutions involving modelling, water systems, and regulations.
