I work as a Research Technician in the Pharmaceutics group.

My expertise lie in the field of chromatography, thermal analysis, Particle size analysis, Organic Synthesis, coupling software-measuring apparatus

I am constantly looking to improve current techniques and introduce new. For this, I visit a lot of seminars, fairs and scan many journals

The latest investment is a aF4 from Postnova, A technique to separate and analyze nanoparticles. Also recently a Bruker MALDI-TOF

I am concerned with the management of the existing analyzers (maintenance, instruction, troubleshooting) and the management of the synthesis lab.

I am also responsible for all the ins and outs of the laboratories.

For education, especially training of internship students, but also for the regular pharmacy education.

In the time that remains to me I do my own experiments

Outside the lab, I keep myself busy with, among other things:

• Local consultation of trade unions with the Executive Board on the working conditions, I do this on behalf of the CNV.
• General director of the emergency response organization in the DDW
• Chairman of the Elections Committee of Faculty of Science

In 2004 I received "The Award for Excellence technical" from the Figon for my contribution to the drug research in the Netherlands.
