I am a dedicated scientific researcher with a passion for research and treatment of eating disorders. Having suffered from anorexia nervosa in my teens, I am deeply driven to improve treatment and care, and minimise the stigma surrounding eating disorders.
Throughout my academic career, I have had the privilege of working with esteemed institutions such as Maastricht 木瓜福利影视 (The Netherlands) and 木瓜福利影视 of Victoria (BC, Canada). My research focuses on eating disorders, body image and positive embodiment, and I have made significant contributions to the field through many collaborations with world leading experts. At the moment, I am pursuing a PhD in Clinical Psychology, researching the clinical effectiveness of GST in comparison to CBT-E for anorexia nervosa, bulimia nervosa, and OSFED (AN/BN presenting).
During my training to become a practitioner, I have had the opportunity to work with adults with eating disorders and provide compassionate care. I believe in applying my lived experience with AN and personality pathology to the treatments in a safe manner, and I am committed to staying updated with the latest advancements in eating disorder care to deliver the highest quality of care once I finish my PhD and dive back into clinical practice.
Outside of work, I enjoy reading books, walks in nature, drawing, and writing, which provides me with the work-life balance I need to excel in my professional career.
I am always open to new collaborations and opportunities to make a meaningful impact in both academia and clinical practice. Please feel free to reach out if you'd like to connect or discuss potential projects.
