I work on the EU-funded and projects, where I study the future climate and mass balance of Antarctica using regional climate model simulations. Most of my research is about atmospheric processes such as precipitation, wind patterns, moisture transport and the surface energy balance, and the interaction between these atmospheric processes with melt on ice shelves and glaciers in Antarctica. During my PhD, I focussed on understanding the atmospheric processes driving melt in the McMurdo Dry Valleys of Antarctica.
Next to my research work, I am a printmaker, creating art to share my love for the polar regions. For my art and more about my research, check my .
