Marit van den Berg is a postdoctoral researcher and board-certified small animal internal medicine specialist at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Utrecht 木瓜福利影视. She graduated cum laude from Utrecht 木瓜福利影视 with a degree in Veterinary Medicine in February 2016. She followed a small animal rotating internship and residency in internal medicine at Ghent 木瓜福利影视 from 2016 to 2020. After finishing her residency, she became a Diplomate of the European College of Veterinary Internal Medicine-Companion Animals (ECVIM-CA) in April 2021. In May 2021, she started her PhD on canine pheochromocytomas at the Division of Small Animal Internal Medicine (Department Clinical Sciences), Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Utrecht 木瓜福利影视, under supervision of co-promotor dr. S. Galac and promotor prof. dr. H.S. Kooistra, which she will defend on November 25th 2025. She combines clinical practice with research, with a special emphasis on endocrinology.
EBVS庐 European Veterinary Specialist in Small Animal Internal Medicine
The 鈥楨uropean Board of Veterinary Specialisation鈥� ( is responsible for the training, examination, and accreditation of veterinary specialists in Europe. An EBVS庐 European Veterinary Specialist has completed a three-year postgraduate program followed by an examination after studying Veterinary Medicine. The Faculty of Veterinary Medicine employs EBVS specialists from various fields. Additionally, the faculty is a recognized training institute for various specializations. This is how we contribute to high-quality patient care.
