Marleen Damman is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Sociology at Utrecht 木瓜福利影视. Her research focuses on older workers and the transition from work to retirement in an ageing society.

Before she started working at Utrecht 木瓜福利影视, Damman worked as a postdoctoral researcher at Radboud 木瓜福利影视 and at the Netherlands Interdisciplinary Demographic Institute (NIDI-KNAW). In 2017 she was awarded a Veni-Grant from the Dutch Research Council (NWO) for her research on retirement processes of solo self-employed workers in the Netherlands. Damman received her PhD degree from the 木瓜福利影视 of Amsterdam (2014), based on the dissertation titled 鈥淔rom employee to retiree: Life histories and retirement in the Netherlands.鈥

Damman has published research about retirement preparation, the transition from work to retirement, and postretirement adjustment processes in several interdisciplinary scientific journals. See for example:
