Massimiliano Caiazzo is a molecular and cell biologist with specific expertise in cell reprogramming, cellular neurobiology and non-viral delivery systems.
The core focus of his research lines is the generation of innovative approaches to target and regenerate the brain. His main goal is to implement cell reprogramming, mRNA-lipid nanoparticles (LNPs) and brain targeting strategies to regenerate the diseased central nervous system.
His research lines include projects aimed at the generation of engineered neural and immune cells and nanobody-targeted LNPs to treat neurodegenerative diseases.
