My name is Luuk Schokker-Roozeboom, and I work as an impact developer for the strategic theme Institutions for Open Societies (IOS), as well as the Faculties of Humanities and Law, Economics and Governance (REBO).
I advise researchers on how to get their work to the right places outside the university, so it can have the greatest possible societal impact. In other words: what do you want your research to achieve in society? Who stands to benefit from your knowledge? What’s the best way to collaborate with those parties? And how can we ensure that the interaction is valuable for you as well?
I help find the right answers to these questions and offer guidance on the most suitable tools, ranging from Continuing Education (OvP) and grant applications to different types of activities for and/or with external partners.
I can support the development of a Continuing Education initiative, from initial idea to final programme.
I can help you craft an “impact narrative”: how do you tell a compelling story about your research (and its goals), both within and outside of the university?
I can think along with you about how (potential) societal impact can be meaningfully integrated into a grant proposal.
I can help you reflect on the most effective ways to embed your research in society.
I can work with you to identify suitable external partners.
I can advise on how to collaborate with different societal stakeholders in a (research) project.
I’d be happy to visit you for a cup of coffee, or feel free to drop by the IOS office on Wittevrouwenstraat.
Please don’t hesitate to reach out even if you’re not entirely sure whether I’m the right person to help you. Since I work across two faculties and a strategic theme, I have a broad network within the university and often know which colleagues we can bring in to support your specific needs.
