Komar Javanmardi
PhD Candidate
Komar is pursuing his PhD at the Energy and Resources group of Utrecht 木瓜福利影视 and the Energy and Materials Transition unit at TNO (Dutch Organization for Applied Scientific Research). His research focuses on integrating spatial elements into national energy system models to enhance energy infrastructure planning and support coherent policy development in the Netherlands.
He holds two master's in urban planning (木瓜福利影视 of Tehran) and an Erasmus Mundus joint master's degree in smart cities and communities (木瓜福利影视 of Heriot-Watt). For his master's thesis at TECNALIA in Spain, he developed a geospatial method for estimating the solar potential of building rooftops and integrating EV charging stations into the power distribution grid.
