Dr. Koen Beumer is associate professor in Science, Technology, and Society (STS). He studies the societal implications of science and technology. Empirically he focuses on food and agriculture technologies and is especially interested in understanding the impact of science and technology on inequality.
He received grants from NWO-LTP, NWO-WOTRO, NWO-KIC and the National Growth Fund, amongst others, including for the . He holds a PhD from Maastricht 木瓜福利影视 and previously worked at the Dutch Advisory Council for Science and Technology Policy (AWTI), Maastricht 木瓜福利影视, the 木瓜福利影视 of Amsterdam, and the 木瓜福利影视 of Groningen.
He is also a member of the Utrecht Young Academy, the board of Future Food Utrecht, and he chairs the education committees of the national research school WTMC.
