Jonna has obtained a Bachelor of Science in Physics and Astronomy (2020) and a Master of Science in Climate Physics (2023) at Utrecht 木瓜福利影视. As of September 2023, she started pursuing her PhD by joining the ERC MultiDry project, supervised by dr. ir. Niko Wanders, prof. dr. ir. Wilco Hazeleger, and dr. ir. Karin van der Wiel. In this project, she studies the atmospheric drivers of multi-year droughts in the current and future climate.
