Jessica den Elzen received her bachelor's and research master's degrees in Psychology from the 木瓜福利影视 of Amsterdam. She is currently working as a PhD student at the Clinical Child and Family Studies department at Utrecht 木瓜福利影视.

Jessica works as a PhD student on the project: Understanding juvenile's radicalization in the context of conspiracy beliefs: Risk and protective factors. In this project she is studying the development of youth radicalization and its associated risk and protective factors, focusing specifically on the role of conspiracy beliefs and misinformation. She is also examining the effectiveness of an online intervention aimed at increasing young people's resilience to online misinformation. Finally, she supervises an international research team through the Junior Researcher Program (JRP), exploring risk and protective factors of radicalization in Canada, Germany, the Netherlands, Austria, Poland, Slovenia, and Czechia.
