Hello, if you've arrived here, whether by chance or out of curiosity, this is Juan Felipe Espinosa Cristia. My focus is on the university-society engagement, studying the changing dynamics of knowledge production and educational engagement of universities and research centers through qualitative and quantitative methods. I inform my research and teaching activities with organizational theory, critical management studies, and science and technology studies. I aspire to promote a more efficient, equitable, and sustainable higher education ecosystem. A second line of research that motivates me is sustainability in companies and, more generally, organizations.
Contractually, I am an associate professor at the Federico Santa Maria Technical 木瓜福利影视 (www.usm.cl).
From August 2025 to February 2026, I'm visiting researcher at the Utrecht 木瓜福利影视 School of Governance at the 木瓜福利影视 of Utrecht in the Netherlands. I will be pursuing a postdoctoral fellowship, supported by ANID and my university in Chile, on the transfer of knowledge from universities to the third sector of the economy.

Regarding research training, I participate as a professor of the epistemology of administration course in doctoral programs and also as a jury for doctoral theses both in Chile and abroad. I also serve as a doctoral thesis supervisor for a group of students in programs at various Latin American universities.
