Jitske Mink is a PhD Candidate at the Utrecht Centre for European Research into Family Law (UCERF), where she conducts research on the right to respect for private and family life (Article 8 ECHR) in the context of the parent-child relationship within Dutch family law. Her research focuses on how the principles of Article 8 ECHR are applied in Dutch case law and explores potential improvements in their implementation. Her supervisors are Wendy Schrama, Femke de Kievit and Charlotte Mol.
Since joining Utrecht ľ¹Ï¸£ÀûÓ°ÊÓ in 2023, Jitske has worked as a researcher in the International and European Law Department (IER; European Law section), where she focused on (systemic) discrimination and (in)equality. In April 2024, she began teaching several Bachelor's level courses, including Criminal Law (Willem Pompe Institute) and Foundations of Law. She also served as a tutor for first-year students.
In addition, Jitske worked as Content Manager for Gender Equality Law within the European Network of Legal Experts in Gender Equality and Non-Discrimination ). She is also affiliated with the EQUALS research platform (Equality Legal Studies).
Jitske holds an LL.M. in Criminal Law and Liability Law, and consistently approaches her academic work from a human rights perspective.
