Ir. Harsh Wadhwani

PhD Candidate
Materials Chemistry and Catalysis

I am Harsh Wadhwani, and I come from India. I am a PhD Candidate at the Debye Institute of Nanomaterials Science, working at the Materials Chemistry and Catalysis Group at UU. During the past years, I have developed a strong foundation in carrying out research in the field of heterogeneous catalysis and electrochemistry along with designing sustainable processes. I am passionate about applying my skills and knowledge to solve real-world problems and create a positive impact on the environment and society.

Through my past experiences, I have demonstrated my proficiency and enthusiasm in research, through my internship at Dow Chemicals, where I worked on catalyst development for industrial processes. I further gained valuable research experience at TU Delft, where I worked on developing efficient electrocatalysts for urea synthesis and Arsenic removal from groundwater as a master鈥檚 thesis and honours project. Furthermore, I gained process design experience working on process design and optimization in multicultural and interdisciplinary teams.

Additionally, I have been involved in various academic and extracurricular activities, such as the different Student Mentorship Programs at TU Delft, which have enhanced my leadership, teamwork, and communication skills.

Some of my key attributes:
A dedicated, empathetic, and detail-oriented person with good teamwork skills. Eager to apply the knowledge gained from different sources, be it academic, practical, or daily life to solve pressing issues in the chemical industry.

Someone who believes there is much to learn in this world, and learning never stops.
