About Myself

I am a veterinary scientist and One Health researcher with a focus on applying artificial intelligence (AI) and imaging technologies to address challenges in food safety and animal welfare. I hold two Master鈥檚 degrees in One Health (Utrecht 木瓜福利影视) and Veterinary Medicine and epidemiology (Aristotle 木瓜福利影视 of Thessaloniki), as well as a Bachelor's in Veterinary Medicine (Aristotle 木瓜福利影视 of Thessaloniki). My work combines One Health, veterinary public health, and new technologies to create practical tools that enhance the safety and quality of animal-derived foods.

Previous projects include:

  • A development of AI models for automated post-mortem inspection in broiler chickens, using computed tomography (CT) scanning and photographs to detect conditions such as wing fractures, liver abnormalities, and heart pathologies.

  • A national cross-sectional study on risk factors for antimicrobial usage (AMU) and disease occurrence in Dutch veal calf farms.

  • A Europe-wide analysis of Salmonella prevalence and regulatory frameworks in poultry and pig production.

In addition to the latter, my experience includes food hygiene and technology, microbiology, molecular biology, and food safety, security, and sustainability. I apply predictive modeling, radiology software, and statistical analysis (SPSS, Excel) in my work, and I program in R and Python for data investigations and machine learning applications.
