Elisavet Pasidi is a PhD candidate at the Department of Human Geography and Spatial Planning, Faculty of Geosciences, Utrecht 木瓜福利影视. She obtained her Bachelor鈥檚 degree in Early Childhood Education from the Aristotle 木瓜福利影视 of Thessaloniki, Greece, in 2019, followed by a Research Master鈥檚 in Child Development and Education from the 木瓜福利影视 of Amsterdam in 2023.
In her interdisciplinary PhD project, 鈥淐hildren鈥檚 Independent and Risky Play at Neighborhood Public Spaces鈥, Elisavet leverages her background in child-related studies in conjunction with urban geography, specifically emphasizing the field of children鈥檚 geographies. She will investigate how the physical and social aspects of residential environments influence children鈥檚 independent and risky play, ultimately aiming to co-create interventions with children that target both their physical environments (e.g., public space design) and social environments (e.g., parental risk-aversion) to encourage and support their independent and risky play in their neighborhoods.
