As communications manager of of the inter- and transdisciplinary research theme Institutions for Open Societies, I deal with internal communication and external communication. How do we exchange information in the best possible way: to whom, what, how and when. In doing so, I work together with the faculties' communication colleagues. I also take care of the theme's communication tools, namely the website, intranet, newsletter and LinkedIn. I often see opportunities and possibilities and like to connect these with our platforms in order to increase our impact.
Previously, as intranet site manager I was mainly involved in the further development of the (first) UU-wide intranet, drafting editorial guidelines and content agreements and advising on content strategy. I took care of the introduction of new employees, organised the bachelor open days, drafted the newsletter policy and all kinds of jobs around (international) education marketing. I worked in legal postgraduate education and as International Masters Officer I supervised international students.
Currently, I am also active in Faculty Club UU programming. For example, I initiated the popular pub quiz and organised the Suriname and Indonesia night and much more.
