Dong Nguyen is associate professor in Computer Science at Utrecht 木瓜福利影视. She is a member of the Natural Language Processing group and heads the . She joined Utrecht 木瓜福利影视 in May 2019. She is a recipient of the KNAW Early Career Award 2019. She has a PhD from the 木瓜福利影视 of Twente and a master鈥檚 degree from Carnegie Mellon 木瓜福利影视. In 2024 she received an ERC Starting grant on data diversity for NLP.
Dong Nguyen conducts research into natural language processing, the processing and analysis of natural language with computers.

- Computational text analysis for exploring research questions from the social sciences
- Measuring and explaining biases and robustness of NLP models
- Computational sociolinguistics
- Data-centered NLP; influence of data on LLMs
Nguyen has appeared in the media several times with her research, including in the New York Times, Volkskrant and NRC and on Radio 538.
