Researcher and practitioner originating from South Africa with experience across the African continent. 

Developing a novel understanding of the interlinkages between plant functional diversity, fire, soil carbon, climate warming and land use in the uKhahlamba-Drakensberg, old-growth Afromontane grasslands. My PhD project will generate fundamental ecological knowledge that can guide initiatives to preserve and restore biodiverse and climate resilient grasslands.
