Christien Schrover is a PhD candidate at Utrecht 木瓜福利影视. She is interested in Flemish and Netherlandish art of the late Middle Ages, with a particular emphasis on technical art history. She is currently working on the project "The (R)evolution of Reconstruction: an analysis of digital facsimiles." This research focuses on the epistemology of digital 3D reconstructions in art historical research, explored through the study of late medieval Netherlandish sculpture. Within this project, she is working on a reconstruction of the Mary altarpiece (1475-1477) by the Utrecht sculptor Adriaen van Wesel. Christien also has a special interest in the late medieval perception of the body, as well as the interaction between medieval visual art and the senses.
