Charlotte is a PhD candidate within the Department of Human Geography and Spatial Planning at Utrecht 木瓜福利影视. Her work centers around issues of inclusive governance of and with metropolitan nature-based solutions (NBS). More specifically, she works at the intersection of urban NBS related trade-offs and their justice implications. The research aim is to understand the political and justice ramifications of dealing with trade-offs in the planning and governance of renaturing cities. Her emprical research particularly focuses on urban river restoration projects. She is supervised by Prof. Dr. Niki Frantzeskaki and Dr. Katinka Wijsman.
Previously, Charlotte completed the masters of Sustainable Development with a specialization in governance, at the Copernicus Institute, Utrecht 木瓜福利影视. In her masters thesis she focused on socially inclusive co-creation of urban nature-based solutions. She also briefly worked as a researcher at Duneworks, working on projects related to justice in energy communities.
