Berfin Deniz 脟abuk is a PhD Candidate in Public International Law at the Department of International and European Law, specializing in International Security Law, International Humanitarian Law, and Space Law. Her doctoral research explores the legal challenges associated with the development and deployment of Anti-Satellite (ASAT) weapons within the framework of International Humanitarian Law and Space Law. She is also affiliated with the Research Platform on Peace, Security and Human Rights at Utrecht 木瓜福利影视.
Berfin graduated as the top student of the Faculty of Law at Kadir Has 木瓜福利影视 in 2021, earning her LL.B. with summa cum laude. In 2023, she completed her first Master's degree in Public Law with a focus on International Law at the same institution, receiving high honors. In 2024, she graduated the Master's Program in Public International Law, with a specialization in Conflict and Security at Utrecht 木瓜福利影视. During her time at Utrecht 木瓜福利影视, she was also part of the Student Committee of the Public International Law program. She is also a licensed attorney registered with the Istanbul Bar Association.
Her research interests include public international law, international security law, international humanitarian law, military technology, and space law.
