Andrey Todorov joined the Netherlands Institute for the Law of the Sea (NILOS) at Utrecht 木瓜福利影视 in June 2023 as a Researcher. He holds a doctoral degree from the Moscow State Linguistic 木瓜福利影视 for a thesis on the crime of maritime piracy, obtained in 2012. Since then, he worked at various institutions, including the Primakov Institute of World Economy and International Relations (Russian Academy of Sciences), the Arctic Initiative at the Harvard Kennedy School (USA) and the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy, Tufts (USA).
His research interests and publications involve Arctic Ocean governance, regulation of polar shipping, ecosystem based marine management, maritime disputes in the Arctic. His current research explores issues related to ship-borne tourism in the Antarctic, with special attention to underwater noise.
