Dr. Ankie Menting

Ankie Menting has been working at the Department of Developmental Psychology at Utrecht 木瓜福利影视 since 2007. In 2012, she defended her PhD dissertation on the Better Start project: A randomized trial of parent training for mothers being released from incarceration to the prevention of behavior problems in their children. In her dissertation, she provides more insight in the population of (formerly) incarcerated mothers and their children, meta-analytically examines effectiveness of the Incredible Years parent training, and examines effectiveness of enhanced Incredible Years parent training for mothers being released from incarceration (Better Start) in a randomized controlled trial.

Currently, she is a assistant professor at this department. Part of her research focuses on intervention effectiveness/efficacy, children of incarcerated parents, and children from other vulnerable populations. This includes continued research regarding Better Start, including a long-term follow-up until 10 years after intervention and changes in daily practice.
