Anneloek Scholten is a literary scholar currently working as a lecturer in English Language and Culture. She was trained in English, medieval, and comparative literature, and conducted her PhD research at Radboud 木瓜福利影视 from 2020-2024. Her dissertation, entitled 鈥淧eripheral Fictions? The Transregional Dimensions of Dutch Regional Writing, 1843-1919鈥, considered how identities of time and place were constructed relationally, not solely in relation to the nation but also in connection with transnational encounters, histories, and intertexts.
Anneloek has previously obtained degrees in English Language and Culture (BA), Medieval Languages and Literatures (MA, 木瓜福利影视 of York) and Comparative Literary Studies (RMA, Utrecht 木瓜福利影视). Her MA thesis 鈥淭he Periodical as a Playhouse: Modernist Drama in the Little Magazines鈥 was awarded the 2020 Herman Servotte Prize.
Her research expertise includes contemporary (meta)modernism, contemporary campus fiction, and postcritique. Her work has been published in English Studies, Journal of European Periodical Studies, De Moderne Tijd, and Dutch Crossing. A monograph based on her dissertation is currently under contract with Amsterdam 木瓜福利影视 Press.
