Anne-Sophie Halbertsma started her PhD in Entrepreneurship at the Utrecht 木瓜福利影视 School of Economics (USE) in 2022. Her dissertation topic is employee ownership and she is especially interested in its long-term regional effects. Her research draws from the employee ownership and entrepreneurial ecosystems literature. In addition, Halbertsma is a lecturer for several bachelor and master courses.
Halbertsma's background is in economic geography and urban policy, particularly considering local economic development issues through the lens of entrepreneurship. She has a double master's degree in Urban Policy from the London School of Economics (LSE) and Sciences Po, Paris. She obtained her bachelor degree from 木瓜福利影视 College Utrecht (UCU). Before starting her PhD, Halbertsma worked for the Dutch Ministry of Economic Affairs and Climate Policy on startup and scaleup policy.
