Aisha So is PhD candidate at the Copernicus institute of Sustainable Development. As a part of the project, she investigates the collaboration of diverse actors in plant breeding innovation. How do diverse views and expertise intersect in plant breeding innovation projects? How do people with different backgrounds work together? Who decides and who benefits? Within CropXR and other agricultural innovation projects, she explores the routines and experiences of various actors, and how their intersection can contribute to transformative change. Aisha is interested in the underlying dynamics of research and innovation, and she is very motivated to contribute to both their democratization, and to the realization of constructive dialogue and mutual learning.

Aisha obtained her Bachelor in at Delft 木瓜福利影视 of Technology and the Erasmus 木瓜福利影视 in Rotterdam. For her masters, she studied both and at Wageningen 木瓜福利影视. Combining her interests and expertise in biotechnology, policy, and innovation governance, she wrote her master thesis on the roles and responsibilities of plant scientists in the polarized context of genome-edited crops.
