Ana Maria P卯rvulescu is a PhD candidate at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Utrecht 木瓜福利影视, in the Department of Population Health Sciences. She holds a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from Romania and a Master鈥檚 in Biomedical Sciences (One Health) from Utrecht 木瓜福利影视.
Her research is part of an European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) - funded project on the burden of zoonotic diseases in n European Union and EEA/EFTA countries. Ana focuses on the animal-side burden, working to estimate production losses and economic costs of foodborne zoonoses in animals. Her work contributes to a more comprehensive understanding of the impact of zoonoses on animal health and food systems.
With a strong interest in animal health economics and One Health, she aims to support evidence-based decision-making that improves both animal welfare and public health outcomes.
