Floor Haalboom is a historian of science and medicine specialised in the modern environmental history of animals, livestock farming, veterinary medicine, zoonoses and One Health. As part-time assistant professor at the Center for Sustainable Animal Stewardship at the UU Veterinary Faculty, Haalboom coordinates and teaches environmental history, history of veterinary medicine, animals, and human-animal relations, and interdisciplinary planetary health education. She is a member of the Descartes Centre for the History and Philosophy of the Sciences and the Humanities, and Network for Environmental Humanities at the UU.
