Sven Dupr茅 is Vice-Dean for Research and Impact at the Faculty of Humanities, and Professor of History of Art, Science and Technology at Utrecht 木瓜福利影视. He was the PI of the project 鈥楾echnique in the Arts: Concepts, Practices, Expertise, 1500-1950鈥, supported by a European Research Council (ERC) Consolidator Grant (2015-2021).
Previously he was affiliated with the Conservation & Restoration Program at the 木瓜福利影视 of Amsterdam, Professor of History of Knowledge at the Freie Universit盲t and Director of the Research Group 鈥楢rt and Knowledge in Premodern Europe鈥 at the in Berlin. In Spring 2017 he was a visiting fellow at the Institute for Advanced Study (木瓜福利影视 of Warwick) and the (CRASSH, 木瓜福利影视 of Cambridge). In Spring 2015 he was Robert H. Smith Scholar in Residence for Renaissance Sculpture in Context at the in London. His research has been supported by visiting fellowships at the in Princeton and at the at the 木瓜福利影视 of Sydney.
Dupr茅 is a founding editor of the open-access and the Routledge book series , originating in the NWO (Dutch Research Council) project 鈥淐reating a Knowledge Society in a Globalizing World鈥 at the Descartes Centre for the History and Philosophy of the Sciences and the Humanities at Utrecht 木瓜福利影视. He is a member of the advisory board of the , the Netherlands Institute for Conservation, Art and Science (NICAS) and the Netherlands Institute for Advanced Study (NIAS), and of the Council of the Humanities of the Royal Netherlands Academy of Arts and Sciences (KNAW). Further, he is the founder of the ArtLab at Utrecht 木瓜福利影视 and regularly collaborates with artists (a.o. , , Ciprian Muresan).
