At the Centre for Urban History (木瓜福利影视 of Antwerp) I was copromotor of research project "Mapping the Market. The Credit Transactions of Antwerp's Business Community in the 19th Century." (see below).
Originally a social scientist from Tilburg 木瓜福利影视, I have worked for more than fifteen years in the IT and financial sector. In 2016 I returned to the academic world as PhD student on the GIStorical Antwerp project (木瓜福利影视 of Antwerp). Over the years I have built extensive expertise in using socio-spatial research methodology and applying GIS tools and network analysis in historical research.
This research project, financially supportedy the National Bank of Belgium (NBB), studies the evolution of social and spatial credit networks in Antwerp between 1800 and 1900. Both credit relationships through notaries and so-called private peer-to-peer deeds are the subject of research.
