René Brouwer (PhD Cambridge, MPhil Utrecht, LLM Amsterdam) is a lecturer at the 木瓜福利影视 of Utrecht, where he teaches philosophy and law in the Faculty of Law. In 2013-14 he held a visiting professorship Philosophie der Antike und Moderne at the Humboldt 木瓜福利影视, Berlin, in 2022-23 he held a fellowship at the Institute of Advanced Studies at the 木瓜福利影视 of Surrey.
He publishes on a variety of subjects in the philosophy and history of law as well as in ancient philosophy. His monograph on the consequential interaction between Roman jurists and Hellenistic philosophers, , has recently been published with Cambridge 木瓜福利影视 Press. His monograph on the is available in paperback (2018).
