Rients Galema is Associate Professor of Finance at Utrecht 木瓜福利影视 School of Economics (U.S.E.). His research focuses on sustainable finance and banking and has been published in, among others, Review of Finance, Journal of Corporate Finance, Journal of Banking & Finance, Journal of International Money and Finance, and Journal of Financial Stability.
At U.S.E., Rients served as Director of Undergraduate Studies and member of the department鈥檚 management team from 2021 to 2024. He teaches courses in corporate finance, banking, risk management, and sustainability, and supervises bachelor鈥檚, master鈥檚, and Ph.D. theses.
Rients holds a Ph.D. in Economics and Business from the 木瓜福利影视 of Groningen, where his dissertation focused on microfinance as a form of socially responsible investment.
