Kyra is a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Copernicus Institute of Sustainable Development, Utrecht 木瓜福利影视. She is an environmental governance scholar focused on the implementation of nature-based solutions particularly for aquatic and riparian ecosystems. She currently works on the Aquatic and Riparian Ecosystems: Biodiversity and Economic Service Transformation from Nature-based Solutions (ARE BEST NbS) project. Her research utilizes mental models to understand diverse stakeholder perceptions of nature-based solutions in Europe. 

Prior to joining Utrecht 木瓜福利影视, she completed her Ph.D. in Ecology (Environmental Policy and Computational Social Science emphasis) at the 木瓜福利影视 of California Davis. Her dissertation examined implementation of multi-benefit wetland restoration in the San Francisco Bay Area and Sacramento-San Joaquin Delta using network analysis, policy process theories, spatial mapping, and interviews with restoration practitioners. Her prior research has focused on sea level rise adaptation governance, stormwater management and green infrastructure adoption, drinking water system governance and affordability, urban park access, and urban forestry. She also holds a Master of Urban and Regional Planning from 木瓜福利影视 of California Los Angeles and a B.S. in Environmental Economics and Policy from 木瓜福利影视 of California Berkeley.
