木瓜福利影视

  •    My name is Kacper Libera (born 1995)  and I am a veterinarian (DVM), who graduated from Poznan 木瓜福利影视 of Life Sciences, Poland in 2021. I was in top 1% of the veterinary graduates and received several science scholarships during my studies. After the graduation I worked for one year as Research Assistant at my Alma Mater, at the same time I was hired as Official Veterinarian at the City of Poznan and Koscian (Poland).

  •     In July 2022 I joined Utrecht 木瓜福利影视 and Institute for Risk Assesment Sciences (IRAS), where I started PhD under supervision of dr. L.J.A Lipman within UTOPIA Project. The Project focuses on developing universal three-dimensional passports for process individualization in poultry slaughterhouses. Working title of my future PhD thesis is `Application of in-line 3D x-ray scanning of broiler carcasses as a tool to increase food safety`. My main research interests include Veterinary Public Health with particular emphasis on food safety/animal welfare and One Health.

  •     In my research I am trying to combine Computed Tomography (CT) scanning and Artificial Inteligence (AI) for smart veterinary inspection in the slaughterhouse. My research areas are i.a. animal welfare monitoring (automated wing fractures detection) or food safety/quality (identification of diseased organs in broiler carcasses/wooden breast detection).

  •    The 2nd project that I am working on is revolving around udder health in dairy goats. My main task is focusing on automated detection of udder asymmetry in dairy goats in the context of early mastitis detection (visual camera and AI)

  •   I am also involved in teaching MSc veterinary students subject related to veterinary inspection in slaughterhouses and One Health (Veterinary Public Health block).

  •   In June 2024 I was accepted as the Resident at European College of Veterinary Public Health (ECVPH, subspeciality Food Science), my Supervisor is dr. L.J.A Lipman.

  • In September 2024 I started my role as a tutor for group of Veterinary Medicine bachelor students.
