Harold Bok (Ph.D., DVM) is a professor at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Utrecht 木瓜福利影视, the Netherlands. He chairs the research group 'Educational Scholarship in Veterinary Medicine'. In his research his mission is to bridge the gap between educational theory and daily educational practice within and beyond the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine at Utrecht 木瓜福利影视. His area of expertise lies in assessment, competency-based education, and workplace-based learning.
Since June 2022 Harold is Vice Dean for Education at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine.
After his graduation in 2005, he worked as a veterinarian in small animal clinical practice. In 2014 he defended his Ph.D. thesis entitled 鈥楥ompetency-based Veterinary Education: An integrative approach to learning and assessment in the clinical workplace鈥�. From September 2015 to September 2017 he was appointed as Utrecht 木瓜福利影视 Teaching Fellow. In 2017 & 2019 the students nominated Harold for the prize of 鈥淪enior Teacher of the Year鈥�.
Harold was chair 2019-2020 of AAVMC鈥檚 Council on International Veterinary Medical Education (CIVME).
In 2021 and 2022 Harold was a Senior Fellow at the Centre for Academic Teaching (CAT), Utrecht 木瓜福利影视. In 2023 he became a Principal Fellow.
