Benjamin Rin studied mathematics at Bard College in Annandale-on-Hudson, New York. After graduating with a B.A., he studied philosophy at the department of Logic and Philosophy of Science at the 木瓜福利影视 of California, Irvine. In 2014, he defended his doctoral thesis on Mathematical Limits and Philosophical Significance of Transfinite Computation. He was subsequently a postdoc at the 木瓜福利影视 of California, Irvine, before becoming a docent/onderzoeker (lecturer/researcher) at the 木瓜福利影视 of Amsterdam, jointly between its Institute for Logic, Language, and Computation (ILLC) and Amsterdam 木瓜福利影视 College (AUC). Since 2016 he is a universitair docent within the Theoretical Philosophy group in the Department of Philosophy and Religious Studies at Utrecht 木瓜福利影视. His research interests include logic, computability, and philosophy of mathematics.
