Earlier this summer, Local2Local Talents, Local2Local & Grounded put out a call to their community for Harvest Heroes. 16 Heroes answered this call and from Aug 22 to Sept 10 they rolled up their sleeves / took off their shirts and got to work at the root of the food chain, harvesting organic pears.

The Dutch Food Week has developed a new strategy in 2021 which will be further developed in 2022.

In the past few weeks, the importance of a healthy food environment has been widely discussed in Dutch parliamentary circles. On 21 March there was a roundtable discussion on lifestyle prevention. On March 9, Food-Print Utrecht Region organized the Utrecht food debate with 14 political parties in the council chamber of the city hall in Utrecht. The parties debated each other on the basis of four propositions.
