Astronomers have found strong evidence of ultra-low-frequency gravitational waves, which probably come from pairs of supermassive black holes at the centre of merging galaxies.
Every six years, an independent panel evaluates the Natural Science institutes at the Faculty of Science. This year, the panel considered the quality of four institutes affiliated with the Physics and Chemistry departments during the period 2016-2021.
