FFU, Faculty Club and Vineyard: Wild About Nature
A special edition of the Foodyear on Tuesday 18 November 2025 | 17:45 鈥 22:00
Usually, when dining at the Faculty Club, a special dish comes with a QR code that allows you to discover the story behind the ingredients and research through your phone. However, during the month of November, we are doing things differently.
At 鈥淲ild About Nature鈥, on Tuesday 18 November, the story behind the food will be told live at the table. Instead of scanning a QR code, you will hear directly from researchers from Future Food Utrecht, who will share their knowledge and insights between courses.
Experience the live table talks on 18 November
Speakers include:
- Marijke van Kuijk (Associate Professor, Wildlife Ecology and Nature Restoration), who will speak about food for wild animals
- Gillina Bezemer (Programme Leader, Graduate Honours Interdisciplinary Seminars), who will discuss hunting, damage control, and the potential of goose meat
After this special evening, an online overview of the dishes and stories will be made available. However, for the full experience, we invite you to join us in person on 18 November.
What to Expect:
A refined four-course dinner featuring game and local ingredients, paired with carefully selected wines. Between the courses, scientists will present brief talks, turning the evening into a journey of flavor and thought.
