Dr. Lotte Gerritsen

Lotte Gerritsen is Associate Professor of Clinical Psychology. She received her PhD at Utrecht 木瓜福利影视 in Clinical Epidemiology, completed a postdoc at the Donders Center for Cognitive Neuroimaging in Nijmegen and a postdoc at the Karolinska Institute in Stockholm, Sweden, for the latter she received a Marie Curie Intra-European Fellowship. She has been awarded a Veni fellowship from the Netherlands Organisation for Scientific Research and worked as an assistant professor at the department of Psychiatry of the VU medical Center in Amsterdam.
The overarching aim of her work is to understand the effects of stress on the brain and behavior. Ongoing work includes how stress interacts with several biomarkers  (including telomere length, DNA methylation and genetics) on neuropsychiatric outcomes (e.g. depression, cognitive decline, structural brain) and cross-sectional neuroimaging of depression and childhood trauma.
