Increased response
A total of 12,629 UU students completed the survey this year, for a response rate of 35.3%. The last reliable survey in 2018 had a response rate of 33.5%, so the rate has increased by 1.8%.
Students generally satisfied
The students gave their study programme and the university as a whole (General Satisfaction) a score of 4.0 (4.1 in 2018). Both the Bachelor’s and Master’s programmes showed the same trend. Bachelor’s students gave their study programme an average rating of 4.0, and Master’s students rated theirs at 3.9 (the scores for 2018 were 4.1 and 4.0, respectively).
Satisfied with lecturers
Compared to the last survey, students seem to be more satisfied with the themes, which include the results for ‘Lecturers’ and ‘Student counselling’. Students gave UU lecturers a score of 4.0 (3.8 in 2018), and Student counselling a score of 3.9 (3.6 in 2018).
This edition of the survey added a new topic: ‘Engagement and Contact’. The students gave the university a score of 4.0 for this aspect, which was higher than the average of 3.9 for comparable universities*.
Area of concern
Students seem to be less satisfied about the aspect ‘Applicability in professional practice’ than in the previous survey. They gave a score of 3.2 for this category (3.5 in 2018), which corresponds to the average scores for the other comparable universities.
