"Identifying optimal combinations of medicines and nutritional components"
"My name is Saskia Braber and I am an assistant professor at the Division of Pharmacology at the Faculty of Science. I am passionate about researching nutritional components and their impact on health and disease. I believe that successful concepts for treating, preventing, or delaying diseases can be developed by identifying optimal combinations of medicines and nutritional components, an approach known as pharma-nutrition. This strategy aims to increase efficacy while reducing adverse effects."
We try to reduce the use of antibiotics through the application of specific nutritional components
鈥淭ogether, we try to find solutions for real world problems. Our goal is to understand how nutritional components function in the body and how they can benefit both human and animal health. By combining our diverse expertise in nutrition, we aim to tackle major health challenges, including infections and their antibiotic-related issues, as well as chronic gut and lung diseases. While a significant part of our work takes place in the lab, sharing knowledge and learning together are equally important.
What I like about working at Utrecht 木瓜福利影视 is its multicultural environment. We collaborate with people from all over the world, each bringing unique perspectives and expertise. The flexibility in my work, allows me to successfully combine my professional ambitions with family life.鈥
