I want to speak to someone because I have been accused of inappropriate behaviour

The council for the accused provides confidential and emotional support to students, PhD students and staff who have been accused of inappropriate behaviour or other serious issues. The aim is to help them cope with the situation and provide insight into the process. You can contact the council for the accused via beschuldigdenbegeleider@uu.nl.

What can you expect?

  • Counselling: Confidential and emotional support to help the accused deal with the situation and give insight into the process.
  • Advising: Advice on the course of the proceedings and possible steps that can be taken.
  • Preparation: Assistance in preparing for interviews and gathering necessary information for follow-up process steps.
  • Assisting at interviews: Possibly be present to support the accused during interviews.
  • Point of contact: Acting as a point of contact for accused persons, giving sensible advice.
  • Referral: If necessary, referrals to external parties, such as lawyers, psychologists or other experts, for additional support.
