Interethnic Attitudes and Social Influence within Social Networks
This project explores the link between prejudice and social networks. It asks, how do prejudices develop within social networks, how do they spread through an existing social network, and how do they affect changes in the structure of social networks?
To answer these questions, the projects make use of a combination of longitudinal social network analysis, ego-centered network analysis, and intervention studies based on randomized controlled trials in primary schools.
The ultimate goal is to use newly gained insights to develop intervention programs for (primary) schools that are designed to improve interethnic relations.
