How To Be a Secure Researcher: Practical Tips, Tricks and Real Life Scenarios - Workshop

There is no doubt you intend to handle your research data with integrity, but more and more frequently the human appears to be the weak link when it comes to information security. In this interactive workshop, UU information security experts will demonstrate and explain how to be a secure researcher. They will enlighten you on who is after your data and why. You will learn your data's worth and what you should do to protect it. Also, as a researcher you probably visit many conferences abroad, but are you aware of the risks of travelling with ‘carry-on data’? And how criminals use social engineering on specific targets to gather valuable information from unknowing victims?

After this workshop you are not only more aware of the risks a researcher faces when it comes to its data, but you will have gained the basic skills to truly be a secure researcher where ever you go.

Information security experts will host this workshop.
