Utrecht ľ¹Ï¸£ÀûÓ°ÊÓ is working on developing a new focus area: Applied Data Science. This focus area will have a lot in common with the ľ¹Ï¸£ÀûÓ°ÊÓ's Research IT programme.

Representatives of the focus area and Research IT are available to meet with researchers to see how they can collaborate. A first step in the partnership between the focus area and Research IT concerns the appointment of two PhD spots. These sports have to be within the focus area, and will in part be financed by Research IT. Research groups with ideas for the execution of these PhD places are welcome to visit our stand at Data Science Day and discuss the options. Researchers can also visit the stand with any other questions or suggestions.

Data Science Day is this year’s edition of the annual IT Day, an initiative of Information and Technology Services (ITS) which has taken place since 2016. Each year, the event focuses on current IT trends and developments impacting education, research and work at Utrecht ľ¹Ï¸£ÀûÓ°ÊÓ. Depending on the theme chosen, the event is either intended for all UU colleagues (and external partners) or for a group of colleagues with a common interest.
