Vacancy Sustainable Food Group
Are you excited about changing food habits at Utrecht Science Park? And would you like to gain experience in working in a small team? Check out this volunteer position for 2 - 4 hours a week at the Green Office.
Green Office Utrecht 木瓜福利影视 (GOUU) is the platform for students and employees of Utrecht 木瓜福利影视 where sustainable ideas are formed, plans come together, and projects are launched. GOUU supports Utrecht 木瓜福利影视's sustainability process. We raise awareness about sustainable solutions and UU ambitions among students and staff and support sustainability projects from within our university community.
The Project group
A catering company always caters to the needs of its customers. We believe that if consumers are more sustainability minded, the caterer will (be able to) follow. Therefore, we work together with Eurest to inform the UU community about sustainable food choices, for example the tasty vegetarian and vegan options. Also, we raise knowledge on the sustainable way the food is processed, packaged and presented.
The goal of this project group is to raise awareness about sustainable food, individual food choices and the impact of food on climate and biodiversity. By doing this, students become more aware of the sustainable solutions present. When you join the team, you will be organizing awareness activities, such as games, tastings, info stands, for example. The goal of the project group is to organise at least 2 events and 2 projects per year.
Since this is a starting project group, the working style has yet to be discovered. Note that you will not increase the sustainability of the food or cafeteria itself.
The aim of this project group is to create awareness on sustainability and the sustainable options in the cafeteria to students. Eurest will have a collaborate role, but the project group itself is run from the Green Office.
What will you get in return?

- An official certificate.
Your profile
- You are passionate about sustainability and excited about reducing CO2 emissions.
