We work together on sustainability in many places within Utrecht ľ¹Ï¸£ÀûÓ°ÊÓ. The Green Office plays an important role in making the university more sustainable and connecting our community of students and staff members with operations, research and education within the organization. 

The Green Office informs the community of the sustainable goals of the university and its efforts to achieve them. Furthermore, the Green Office engages the community through activities, small scale sustainable pilots and gets involved in policy making of the university.  

What you will do  

As Pilot & Policy Coordinator you work together with students and staff that have great ideas on sustainability which can be implemented at university, and organise our team that has an advisory role in the policy making process and tendering at the university.   

Since this is a position that is still being developed, so you will work on setting it up together with the other Green Office employees. 

In your role you will

• Work on development of this new position with employees of the GO, students and staff. 

• Support individual students and staff in the development of grassroots initiatives. 

• Showcase our pilots within the UU. 

• Support the advisory team involved in the policy making process. 

Together with your team members you are the face of the Green Office for students and employees of Utrecht ľ¹Ï¸£ÀûÓ°ÊÓ. 

Who are you?  

• You have affinity for sustainability. 

• You are proactive, enthusiastic, highly communicative and like a variety in tasks.   

• You have an open attitude and have an innovative mindset.  

• You have a hands-on mentality. 

• You feel comfortable expressing yourself in writing and speaking in English. 

• You are a student at Utrecht ľ¹Ï¸£ÀûÓ°ÊÓ.   

Where you will work  

The Green Office is part of the Sustainability Office, the university's central coordination point around sustainability. The Sustainability Office ensures that, as Utrecht ľ¹Ï¸£ÀûÓ°ÊÓ, we all propagate the same clear Sustainability Strategy. The common thread is the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). These provide us with inspiration and direction.  

The Sustainability Office team is a diverse team with a great drive and shared vision to contribute to the sustainability transition. You will become part of a driven, enthusiastic and close-knit team. Together, we work towards a sustainable world!
